August is Customer Service Month

Posted by Golf Local On August - 3 - 2011Local News

We here at GolfLocal.com believe that there are some key reasons why us golfers enjoy going back to a golf course – those are quality of the course, value and the customer experience. If you have ever had a great customer experience you more than likely would revisit that course again.

That customer experience or service is the foundation of private courses like Augusta National and Trump National. Imagine how Donald Trump is treated at any of his golf courses. Now what if our public courses showed that level of service?

So for the month of August, we are looking for the golf course (private or public) that has provided the best service and experience.

Please leave your comments and reviews below and let us know either way if you saw great service from the courses you have played. We will even send all those that leave a comment a special gift.

The first 15 people to write a review about an experience this month will receive a Free Golf Local Discount Card.

I played Eagle Vale this past weekend and the crew running the pro shop was very helpful. I have played Eagle Vale before and thought the service was good but this weekend is was GREAT!

I played Terry Hills for the first time 2 weeks ago and was very impressed with the staff. Everyone was welcoming and showed great customer service. I live in Rochester and would recommend the course to any golfer.

We recently had a tee time mix up at Webster east cc. We ended up playing about 12 holes where they could fit us in. I went inside to ask a question and the manager remembered us and gave us 2 free passes to come back. Well done Webster cc

I organized our office’s annual golf outing. This year we played at Wildwood CC. In the past few years, we’ve played Greystone, Ravenwood and Blue Heron Hills. We chose Wildwood this year because we thought it might allow for some lower scores. Well the course played tough, but everyone had a good time. I organized the outing of 8 groups with Wildwood’s head pro Mike Sweazy, and he did a great job getting everything together for us. He offered us a good price, and we had a really fun time.

4 of us wanted to get out before work recently and we called Deerfield Country Club to see if we could get out at about 6:10 AM (just before sunrise). They aren’t open then, but Vic (might be Vick) made some pretty awesome accommodations for us and got us out on time. The course and the greens are both in excellent shape, and it is one of the more challenging courses in the area.

Brockport CC has hosted my charity golf tournament for the past 9 years and the service provided by Tim and Anna is second to none. The course is always in great condition with the best kept greens in Rochester. If you have a tournament and want the best value for your money, give Brockport CC a call. They treat you like family!

I took my son and his friend to eagle vale this past week to hit balls on the driving range for fun. We spoke with the person in the pro shop and they introduced us to there 3 hole and 5 hole tee times. What a convenient little round you can play for a great price with excellent service and even a cart! The outgoing personality and peppy attitude of the employeess brought us back for a round of 3 holes the next night! We’ll be going back soon with that service!

I’ve played several local courses this year and found Eagle Vale to be in the best condition of any other public course I played. The grounds crew has done an amazing job considering the varied weather conditions we’ve had. Additionally, I found the employees to be friendly, courtious and helpful.
